A elegant Merchants Hall wedding in Charleston

Rachel and Taylor were supposed to have their Merchants Hall wedding in mid May. Well, I am pretty sure I don’t have to explain why we had to postpone their big day. I also truly believe that ‘postpone’ quickly became the ugliest word of the year 2020 right after Covid and quarantine – but that’s a different story.

Postponing a wedding

is already incredibly heartbreaking but it’s even harder when you are an out of town bride. Both live currently in Atlanta and I am so glad they were working with an amazingly talented wedding planner. Samantha with Sweetgrass Social was able to reschedule and replan their entire wedding day within a couple of days. With a delay of 3.5 months Rachel and Taylor’s Merchant Hall wedding finally happened on September 4th.

After a couple of really gloomy and rainy days we all woke up to what turned out to become one of the most beautiful – and hottest – days this entire year. When I arrived at the The Charleston Place I was greeted by a twirly and bubbly girl squad and I knew immediately that it was going to be a really good celebration – and it truly was.

I can’t even explain how stunning Rachel looked

in her ‘Martina Liana’ wedding gown. She literally could have walked right out a fashion magazine and when Taylor saw her the first time he almost couldn’t believe his eyes. Both seemed so happy and thankful the day and dealing with a rollercoaster of ups and downs, this is what makes my heart so happy. Seeing my couples to finally tying the knot while being with family and friends. It couldn’t have been a better celebration and I am so honored to be a small part of their big day.
