Now keep in mind, simple doesn’t automatically mean boring. A minimalistic approach requires careful thoughts, creativity and an eye for the detail to fill the frame with emotion. It’s about reducing the sequence to its essentials - to direct the viewers’ eye and create more powerful, and glamorous photographs.

An elopement itself can be composed of several unique events - from getting ready in a luxury suite to the romantic first dance at the top of a mountain – each requiring a different approach or photography style to spark the intended feeling with the viewer.

Therefore, our style of elopement photography combines the elements of fine-art, fashion and photojournalism photography with an overall minimalistic approach, thoughtfully adapted to your individual wedding day and to tell your entire story.

Our background in real estate photography definitely had a huge impact on how we use the environment to create beautiful, artistic photographs. We are attracted to easy and simple compositions to highlight and enhance our elopement photography.

We love things clean and straight. In fact, we are more of a minimalistic type of people.

Honestly, there is no short answer to it. We believe it requires more than one style to photograph an elopement.

01. Let’s Meet

We truly believe in getting to know each other before your wedding day. Wether we talk on the phone, via zoom or schedule a coffee date, we would love to hear all about you and your Charleston elopement dreams.

02. Let’s Plan

As soon as you decide to have us capture your big day we start customizing your wedding timeline that fits your needs and schedule a date for your complementary engagement session.

03. Let’s Shoot

Definitely our favorite part! Prior to your engagement session we will give you tips and tricks so you can relax and fully enjoy being the center of attention. We can't wait to capture your unique moments.

Since this is part of your wedding package, we’ll work on this together. A couple weeks before your wedding day we’ll send out a questionnaire where we ask you to think about all immediate family combinations you would like to be captured. This ensures a smooth process and lets you forget about one more stressful topic on your wedding day. Other than that, we’ll promise you will receive a great variety of photographs. We do recommend to bring any unique details/heirlooms, special people or planned moments to my attention so we can make sure to focus on them as well.

16. Do you need a shot list of our desired photographs?

Yes, we have business liability insurance coverage.

18. Do you have insurance coverage?

Should unforeseen circumstances prevent us from attending your elopement, we’ll do our best to find a replacement photographer with similar style and in your price range. We have a strong network to ensure your elopement success in an unlikely circumstance like this. Alternatively, we can offer a full refund to allow you to make your own arrangements.

15. What happens if you get sick or have an emergency before the wedding?

We use Canon 5DMIII and R6 bodies with the highest quality lenses. We always have the same quality backup equipment.

14. What equipment do you use?

Even though rain on your big day is considered lucky, we know that most couples are concerned about it. Don’t get overwhelmed.... Have a rain plan for your elopement location, but let your vendors do their magic. (They’ve been there) We work closely with you and your wedding planner to come up with a plan B and C — just in case. Some of our best work was captured on a rainy day. In those circumstances, you can totally rely on our experience and expertise to ensure stunning photographs.

13. What if it rains?

We only offer photography. However, we work with a couple of pretty amazing videographers and we are more than happy to recommend them.

17. Do you offer videography?

Yes. I work with my sweet husband Martin. He is not only my second shooter, but also my assistant, my supporter and my adviser (who always keeps a cool head). Martin is reliable and knows exactly what I need him to do. I taught him my technique, he understands my objectives. He usually takes care of the groom and coaches him while getting all the different angles at the ceremony, first dances, cake cutting etc. so we can capture your unique memories. He is also incredible at capturing the in-between moments with his zoom lens.

12. Do you work with a second shooter?

Absolutely. We travel worldwide for elopements. We’d love to hear more about your elopement destination before talking about travel plans. We’ll then customize a quote depending on location and shooting days. We’ll take care of our travel arrangements if not otherwise discussed - so you can realx.

11. Do you travel outside of Charleston?

If you decide on an album for your wedding experience, we'll send a first custom draft a few weeks after you receive your full wedding gallery. You’ll have the opportunity to add or omit spreads and swap photographs. Once you approved the final draft, we proceed to production.

9. Do I select the photographs that will be printed in my wedding album?

We would love to! Our fine art albums are handcrafted and come in different colors and sizes. They are the perfect heirloom for your home and a must have to show off to your family and friends. We'll be here to help you choose the perfect layout and create a first draft. We’ll help you customize your album during two additional revisions. We also offer our couples to add an elopement album to their registry - what’s better than getting a meaningful gift to your elopement?

10. Can you help us create a wedding photo album?

Yes! Please do! All your photographs are presented in a high-resolution format, optimized for all kinds of print. The online gallery is directly linked to my print store.

8. Can we print our photographs?

You can expect between 150 to 200 edited, ready-to-print photos from your special day depending on prep-times, the ceremony and the number of locations. Every picture is uploaded to your personal elopement gallery and pre-sorted in subcategories based on your events.

7. How many photographs can we expect?

Yes! We carefully select every picture to achieve our signature look. Every photograph in your elopement gallery is carefully selected and goes through post production to achieve our signature look. This includes:
• Basic retouching (blemish removal, small under-eye touch-ups)
• Straightening/cropping and removing distracting hair
• Color and exposure corrections.
Clean, natural beauty is our goal.

6. Do you provide professional retouching and/or color correction?

We’ll deliver your full gallery within 7-8 weeks. In the meantime, you’ll get a sneak peek of your highlights on social media a few days after you eloped.

5. When can we see my photographs?

Yes! You’ll receive access to a password-protected online gallery including all elopement day photographs. It’s super easy to use even on your smartphone or tablet and shareable with friends and family. Your personal gallery is also connected to our print store and makes creating your elopement album a breeze. We work with amazing labs that offer high quality print options. I promise, you will love it.

4. Do we receive an online gallery?

We require a 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed agreement to reserve your elopement date.

3. Do you require a deposit?

Once the date of your elopement is set and you’ve decided on your elopement experience, we’ll send a proposal for your review. As soon as the agreement is signed and we receive the non-refundable retainer, your elopement date is officially booked. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your big day.

2. How do we confirm my elopement date?

Your unique and unforgettable elopement experience starts at $1,450. This may include getting ready, your wedding, reception and after party memories. Since every wedding is unique, we offer countless ways to tailor your special package to suit your needs. Your details are our passion. Let’s discuss your dreams, then let’s capture them together. We would love to hear more about your wedding plans and work out the details.

In the technology age, most of your images live on mobile devices. It's convenient but they’re more than digital images. Your engagement and wedding photographs are your first family heirlooms. And when the day is over, and for years to come, they’ll remain.

Your photos do not belong on your phone.
