Charleston Wedding

The first time I met Kerrison and Stephen was right when he proposed on top of Wentworth Mansion in Charleston. Stephen, his mom Karen, Kerrison’s best friend Megan and I had everything carefully arranged beforehand. Standing there at sunset, overlooking the Holy City and capturing this lovely moment was also an incredible experience for me and something I will always remember. Seeing a super nervous Stephen and a surprised, extremely sweet and happy Kerrison made this moment so real and perfect.

You can imagine that I was over the moon when Kerrison reached out to me a couple of weeks later asking if we would like to be their wedding photographers. Umm yes girl!

They decided to do their engagement session at Magnolia Gardens!! The air-conditioned bridal suite saved us that day and we visited it a couple of times just to cool down. While waiting for Kerrison I remember Stephen telling me how much he loves her and that he couldn’t imagine one day without her. That was literally the sweetest thing and throughout the session you could tell the deep love and respect they have for each other.

After one Covid postponement

and venue change we finally got to celebrate their big day in September at the South Carolina Society Hall in Charleston. Both had history there since they used to take dance lessons back in the day in the same room where they had planned their reception. Kerrison’s vision for her big day was the traditional and elegant Charleston wedding and I think they nailed it. BTW Kerrison, what’s your advice for future brides? ‘Go with the flow, and have faith and fun.’ We couldn’t agree more!
