Tursk & Caicos Engagement
Welcome to paradise
I started communicating with Alizee about six weeks before Martin and I flew to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Alizee is a native of the Caicos Islands and just got engaged to Eric.
The original plan for their engagement session was to take a boat out on the water and hop from island to island but we had to change plans a couple days before. And I’m so glad we did. The couple picked us up at our hotel and brought us to this amazing restaurant called Las Brisas right at the turquoise water with an incredible view of little islands floating around. Las Brisas was located on the other end of where we were staying so it was even nicer to see another part of Providenciales.
After we had lunch together
we drove to her friend’s beautiful, stunning and most impressive villa in Silly Creek. It’s an older three-story home in a terracotta-colored Moroccan style. The huge doors and windows were all open and let the refreshing ocean breeze stream through the house. We were looking down at crystal clear water and I guess that was the moment I really fell in love with the island! Just the perfect spot for an engagement sssion on Turks and Caiscos.
Sometimes I still can’t believe the places photography has brought me but this was without any doubt one of the most impressive and special so far.
A couple of Alizee and Eric’s friends came over and while they prepared margaritas we started taking pictures around the house. It must be the Island but I don’t exaggerate when I say the saturation of the colors was insane! We were able to shoot the entire estate. From a little flower-covered patio behind the villa, up to the balcony with a sunset view, all the way down to a private dock on the water. And shooting a couple so in love like Alizee and Eric, made my heart happy. You guys, I could go on and on with all my impressions of that day and the stories Alizee and Eric told us, but this post would turn into a little novel. So just scroll down and look at all the beauty!
Fun fact
Can you believe, even though they live on one of the most beautiful and picturesque places on this earth, they really considered getting married in New Orleans?!
Thank you Alizee and Eric, for showing us around your home country, answering our million questions and for the opportunity to shoot at this stunning estate right by the water. We loved every minute we spent with you and can’t wait to visit you again very soon!
